TIMESINDONESIA, JAKARTA – PT Asuransi BRI Life (BRI Life) has officially entered into a strategic partnership with International Assistance, a global medical network service provider, through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on August 19, 2025, at the International Assistance office in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia.
This collaboration is part of BRI Life’s expansion strategy aimed at enhancing service quality and customer protection. Through this partnership, BRI Life extends the reach of its life insurance benefits internationally, while offering efficient and professional cross-border health claims administration services.
Present at the MoU signing ceremony were BRI Life President Director Aris Hartanto, accompanied by Head of Healthcare Ecosystem Division Anna Novy Handyani, and Managing Director of International Assistance, Ravi Kanason.
In his remarks, President Director of BRI Life Aris Hartanto emphasized that this partnership marks a significant milestone in strengthening BRI Life’s competitiveness in the insurance industry. “The collaboration with International Assistance opens up major opportunities for BRI Life to deliver services that meet international standards, while also expanding the company's capabilities to address global challenges,” Aris stated
He further added, “This move reaffirms BRI Life’s commitment to not only being a robust life insurance company at the national level, but also to actively contributing on a broader national and global scale. Our collaboration with International Assistance is a tangible step in enhancing service quality and expanding access to protection for our policyholders.”
BRI Life believes that the experience and international network of International Assistance will bring more comprehensive, reliable, and relevant services tailored to the needs of today’s society.
“This partnership aligns with BRI Life’s transformation goals to become an adaptive and innovative life insurance institution. We believe that the success of an insurance company is not solely determined by financial strength, but also by its ability to understand customer needs, build trust, and consistently deliver added value,” Aris explained.
Ravi Kanason, Managing Director of International Assistance, shared that there is a growing trend among Indonesians seeking medical treatment abroad.
“With greater access to information on global healthcare services, people are becoming more selective when choosing overseas hospitals, focusing on quality, facilities, and treatment outcomes,” Ravi said.
This partnership is expected to enhance customer trust in BRI Life’s products, provide a more integrated cross-border claims administration system, and open doors for further global strategic partnerships with other credible entities.
Aris concluded his remarks with confidence in the mutual benefits of this synergy:
“We believe this collaboration will be the beginning of many opportunities we can pursue together. It is expected to strengthen BRI Life’s position in the insurance industry and deliver added value for our policyholders, who remain our top priority,” he affirmed.
